Johnson City Woman Arrested On Drug Charges After Falling Asleep In Fast Food Drive Through
A Johnson City woman is jailed on three felony drug charges after she fell asleep at the wheel while operating her vehicle in a fast food drive through. Johnson City Police say they were called to the Taco Bell on W Market Street for a welfare check on 37 year old Tina M. Burton. During the course of the investigation, police discovered Burton had a quantity of methamphetamine in her possession. The drug was package for resale and a variety of pills divided into their own packages with prices per pill printed on the outside. Ms. Burton, was also found with a large sum of cash as well as drug paraphernalia. Burton’s cash and vehicle were seized in the incident. Burton was transported to the Washington County Tennessee Detention Center where she was being held for an arraignment hearing on Friday.
