Gov. Lee: Tennessee schools receiving over $4B in federal funding
Tennessee schools are set to receive more than $4 billion in federal COVID-19 funding.
Gov. Bill Lee and along with state education officials are recommending school districts use the federal dollars they are receiving to increase student achievement in a variety of ways such as phonics based focus on reading and tutoring, preparing students for the ACT, CTE equipment and programs, as well as serving special needs and low income students.
Local school districts in Northeast TN will receive over $14.6M in the first round of funding allocations.
