Ballad Appoints New Leadership

Since the formation of Ballad Health three years ago, the health care provider has been busy re-imaging and enhancing rural health care. One of those efforts includes the re-opening of Lee County Community Hospital. On Wednesday Ballad announced Shannon Showalter will assume his new role as chief executive officer for all Ballad operations in Wise, Lee, and Dickenson Counties . Showalter previously worked as chief operating officer at Clinch Valley Medical Center. Meanwhile, Ballad also announced that Loveland Hobson has been named Assistant Vice President and Administrator for Unicoi County Hospital, bringing years of clinical, leadership and communication skills to one of the country’s newest rural hospitals.
