Body Found Tuesday At Mouth Of South Holston Lake Identified
The body of a missing man found at the mouth of the South Holston River in Washington County Virginia on Tuesday has been identified. Local rescue personnel responded and searched the area around Alvarado Road in Abingdon in reference to a missing person report. First responders began a search of the area on land and on water and located a white male appearing to be in his 70’s located near the mouth of South Holston Lake . The body of 72 year old Freddie Raymond Jackson of Abingdon has been sent to the Medical Examiners Office in Roanoke for an autopsy. Foul play is not expected at this time. The location where Jackson was found was known as a favorite fishing spot of Jackson.
