Johnson City Police Arrest Woman On Credit Card Fraud Totaling More Than 14 Hundred Dollars

A Watauga Tennessee woman is arrested by Johnson City Police on charges of illegal possession/fraudulent use of credit card/debit card over one thousand dollars. Investigators with Johnson City Police arrested 30 year old Latosha Ashby of after a report of a lost debit card back in December of 2020. The victim reported he lost his card, then started seeing unauthorized transactions from several local retailers and online outlets. More than 14 hundred dollars was ultimately charged on the card. Utilizing store surveillance footage, investigators were able to identify the suspect as Latosha Ashby. Ashby is being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a five thousand dollars bond. Ashby is also set for arraignment on Friday.
