Study: More than 53% of surveyed Tennesseans willing but hesitant to get COVID vaccine
A third party study released by the Tennessee Department of Health says more than half of surveyed Tennesseans are hesitant about getting vaccinated against COVID-19.
One thousand adult residents across all 95 counties were surveyed and just under 54% of respondents said they are willing to get vaccinated but have some hesitations. Some reasons given on that hesitation include safety, unknown short-term and long-term effects of the vaccines, and the speed in which the vaccines were tested and developed.
The study also concluded that physicians and medical staff were considered the most trusted voices for Tennesseans seeking information about vaccines. To read the full study, click here.
