Greeneville man charged in March hit-and-run incident in Washington County, Tennessee
A Northeast Tennessee man remains in jail in Greeneville as he awaits a formal court hearing in Washington County on a felony hit-and-run charge.
Robert Randall Shelton, 32, was already being held on unrelated charges when warrants were secured for his arrest in connection to a March 12th incident in the South Central community of Chuckey.
A report from Sheriff Ed Graybeal’s office said Shelton reportedly ran a stop sign in his sedan and struck another vehicle, leaving that driver injured while Shelton ran from the scene in the area of Corby Bridge Road and Bill Mauk Road.
After he is jailed in Jonesborough, Shelton will be held on a $2,000 bond.
