JCPD, Animal Shelter seeking information after tortured and dead cat was found in funeral home parking lot

Authorities in Johnson City have launched an investigation after a cat was found tortured and dead in a funeral home parking lot.

The Washington County, TN Animal Shelter posted on Facebook Sunday afternoon that an orange and white cat was found with its rear legs bound by duct tape and appeared to have head trauma. The shelter said a bloody screwdriver was found near the cat’s body.
