Bristol, TN BOE approves two summer school programs
The Bristol, TN Board of Education has approved two summer school proposals for students in their system.
One of the program’s focuses on students entering 1st-9th grade in the upcoming school year by offering a free summer camp that will work to increase learning in areas like science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and math. The summer camp will run from June 1st-24th on Monday-Thursdays:
*1st-5th grade (7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.)
*6th-9th grade (offered daily camp until 5:30 p.m.)
The summer school proposal for Tennessee High students will focus on supporting credit recovery and graduation rates by allowing students to enroll in online classes for repeat credits or new credits. The Tennessee High Summer School program will also run Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., then from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
