Metro officer named in Capitol attack report with Kingsport suspect suffered mild heart attack
The Metro police officer that the Justice Department says was attacked by a Kingsport, Tennessee man, and several others during the Capitol riots is recovering from a mild heart attack after being tased with his own weapon.
In recent media interviews, Officer Michael Fanone said the mob stopped attacking him when he started yelling out that he had children, resulting in some of the so-called patriots providing him with protection.
Prior to that, Fanone said he was pulled into the crowd from a terrace and then beaten with flag poles. Another suspect who is in custody pulled Fanone’s badge and radio off of his gear. The badge was found buried in the suspect’s backyard.
Albuquerque Coster Head, 41, of Kingsport, is facing 10 charges including acts of physical violence on the Capitol grounds. He was taken into custody last week by FBI agents from Knoxville.
