Sullivan County Regional Health Department to wind down operations at Whitetop vaccination station next month
The Sullivan County Regional Health Department announced Monday its plans to cease operations at its vaccination station based at Whitetop Creek Park in Bristol, Tennessee on May 21st.
The agency also said Pfizer vaccine first doses will be administered until Friday and then the only serum that will be given will be the Pfizer second dose and the just reinstated Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The Whitetop base will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
According to Becker’s Hospital Review, Tennessee ranks 44th in the US with 3.8 million doses administered. Virginia’s rank is 14th in the country with 6.2 million people vaccinated.
