BVPS earns eighth straight national recognition for music education program
The Bristol, Virginia Public Schools Music Education Program has continued to set itself apart and has once again received national recognition.
The district says their music education program has earned its eighth straight Best Communities for Music Education designation from the NAMM Foundation.
Districts can qualify for this designation by answering questions about how their program supports music in ways like how it is funded, their facilities, available community music-making programs, and music class participation, with those answers then reviewed by the Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.
