Northeast Tenn. county health departments now administering COVID-19 vaccines without required appointment
Northeast Tennessee residents can now get a COVID-19 vaccine at county health departments without an appointment.
The Northeast Regional Health Office has lifted their appointment requirement to receive a shot across their seven county health departments. Vaccines will be available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Appointments are still available for those who prefer to have one scheduled.
For those under 18, health officials recommend calling ahead to local county health departments to check on which vaccine is being offered. Pfizer has been approved for individuals 16 and older, while Moderna is authorized for use on anyone 18 and older.
