Richlands Police: Man killed while riding bicycle after allegedly being struck by vehicle

The Richlands, Virginia Police Department is investigating an accident that left one person dead Monday after being struck by a vehicle while riding their bicycle.

Authorities say Tony Hill, 61, was traveling west in his 2005 Volvo SUV on Route 460 near the Baker Hollow Road intersection when he reportedly struck Charles Lyons, 47, in the roadway while Lyons was on his bicycle. Lyons was killed in the incident, and the investigation is ongoing as Richlands Police are being assisted by Virginia State Police.

No charges have been filed at this time.
