UPDATE: North Carolina man charged with February break-in at Carter County pharmacy

Carter County Sheriff Dexter Lunceford has announced a development in a pharmacy break-in case that dates back to February.

Investigators had been working with Mitchell County, North Carolina detectives and have charged Dillon McCain of Greensboro with one count of burglary and theft under $1,000.

The sheriff said McCain was the suspect who was captured on surveillance footage at Roan Mountain Pharmacy taking select items on the weekend of February 6th.

Arrangements are now being made to have McCain extradited from North Carolina to Tennessee for an arraignment hearing in Elizabethton.
