UPDATE: US attorneys say Kingsport Capitol riots suspect is danger to the community
US prosecutors are asking a federal judge to keep a Kingsport, Tennessee man jailed as he awaits trial for assaulting a police officer during the Capitol riots.
Court documents say Albuquerque Coster Head is a danger to the community based on his lengthy criminal record that includes several charges of assault and his actions in Washington on Jan. 6th.
The report said Head grabbed police officer Michael Fanone in a bear hug and told him he was rescuing him from the mob. Instead, attorneys argued that Head yelled, ‘I got one!’ and led him toward his attackers.
The papers also detailed an interview with a local officer with the TN Department of Corrections who plans to file state charges against Head because he violated his probation by traveling to DC for the riots.
