Russell County boy gives up coveted card collection to help pay his puppy’s vet bills
A Lebanon, Virginia mom contacted our parent company Bristol Broadcasting last week about a fundraiser for her son Bryson and their puppy Bruce.
Kimberly Woodruff said 8-year-old Bryson Kliemann was willing to do anything to get the money to pay Bruce’s vet bills for treatment of parvo including parting ways with his coveted Pokemon card collection.
He had a few takers at his roadside stand but soon after local media interviewed Bryson and his story went regional, the donations started pouring in.
As of Friday, the online GoFundMe account collecting funds for Bruce has climbed to more than $5,000, exceeding Kimberly’s initial goal of $800.
The family plans to use the extra money for Bruce’s continued care.
