UPDATE: Boswell court hearing pushed to September 30
Another continuance was issued Friday in Sullivan County Criminal Court in the case of suspected murderer Megan Boswell.
District Attorney Barry Staubus says the state is awaiting more forensic test results from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation but is still preparing for a full trial.
Boswell was indicted in March 2020 for the first-degree murder of her toddler daughter Evelyn Boswell whose remains were found on family property in the Muddy Creek area of Blountville.
Boswell’s next court date is September 30th. Prosecutors have already said they will seek life in prison for Boswell if convicted.
