Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department: Home severely damaged during Monday night fire
Officials are working to determine the cause of a fire that left a home severely damaged Monday night in Tusculum.
Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department Chief Marty Shelton tells Supertalk his department along with other crews were called to a structure fire around 8 p.m., on Broyles Street.
When they arrived, they found one occupant at the home who was able to escape without injury. Shelton says about half the home was destroyed by the fire.
Other departments that responded to the blaze included the following: Greeneville FD Eng-1 and Battalion-1, Mosheim VFD, and Newmansville VFD. The EMS, Red Cross, Sheriff’s Dept., Light and Power, Debusk VFD (rehab unit), and Chaplain Danny Ricker provided scene support.
