Russell Co. EMA: Home severely damaged after catching fire from car explosion

A vehicle explosion led to a weekend house fire in Russell County.

The Russell County Emergency Management Agency reports emergency crews were called to a car explosion on Saturday at a home on Vine Street. Because of the explosion, the home caught fire and was severely damaged.

One person received minor injuries from the incident, and their dog was found unharmed. This marks the 13th house fire in Russell County this year.
