VSP: Charges pending in fatal Bristol, Virginia fatal crash
A preliminary report from the Virginia State Police says speed and alcohol were a factor in a fatal crash in Bristol.
The passenger, William G. Martin, 66, of Bristol, Tennessee, was killed when he was fully ejected from the truck that was traveling on Oak Grove Road Monday night just north of Wallace Pike.
The truck driver, Kenneth W. Dalton, 57, of Bristol, Virginia, suffered serious injuries when the truck ran off the right side of the highway hitting a large boulder causing the vehicle to turn over and back into the road.
Troopers report that Dalton is facing charges from the incident.
