Police: SUV driver pulling into the path of motorcycle rider triggers fatal crash in Kingsport

A motorcycle rider was killed Tuesday afternoon in Kingsport when a motorist pulled into his path.

A preliminary report from the Kingsport Police Department said Brian W. Dunn, 34, was traveling southbound on Fort Henry Drive around noon when an SUV drove by Phyllis Laney, 71, reportedly turned into Dunn’s right of way causing a collision.

Laney was not injured. The department said charges could be filed.
