Greene County murder case goes into jury deliberations

Jury deliberations have begun in Greene County Criminal Court in a case of a former bond bailsman accused of killing his girlfriend in May 2008.
Henry Ronnie Martin was arrested and charged with second-degree murder 11 years after the death of June Marlene Carter. Preliminary information from investigators said Carter was killed from blunt force trauma to the head.
A forensics pathologist ruled out suicide in Carter’s death but was unable to determine if the injuries were self-inflicted or the result of an accident.
