Vanderbilt poll: 59 percent against Tennessee’s constitutional carry gun law
A surprising result surfaced in a recently completed poll by Vanderbilt University concerning the constitutional carry bill pushed by Governor Bill Lee and passed by the General Assembly this session.
The data showed 59 percent of the 1,000 Tennesseans polled last month are not in favor of residents being allowed to carry a gun without a permit while 39 percent approve of the measure.
Tennessee will join 19 other states that already allow those over the age of 21 to carry a gun without a permit on July 1st.
