UPDATE: Man wounded in officer-involved shooting in Johnson City charged with aggravated assault

A man shot by police officers while armed with a gun in downtown Johnson City last month has been officially charged.

A report from the city police department says Brian Heikkinen, 52, is facing four counts of aggravated assault in connection to the May 27th incident in the 100 block of Buffalo Street.

The Johnson City report said Heikkinen pointed his gun at several people before he was wounded by officers.
