UPDATE: Pound man who sold guns illegally at flea market gets 8 months in prison
A Southwest Virginia man who admitted to selling guns without a license at a Wise County flea market will spend eight months in federal prison.
A report from the US Attorney’s Office said James Boggs, 66, of Pound, pleaded guilty in March to the federal charge after evidence produced in court showed Boggs sold weapons to undercover ATF agents on three occasions at the Indian Mountain Trade Center.
Boggs and another illegal arms dealer, Tommy Dotson, 65, surrendered more than 50 guns and $13,000 in cash as part of their plea agreement.
