Police: Greeneville man tried to stab victim, run over them with automobile, then used pepper spray

Greeneville police have secured a warrant for a suspect who reportedly assaulted a victim in two separate incidents.

James McInturff is charged with aggravated assault, according to a report from the city’s police department.

McInturff had tried to stab the victim during a fight at a home in the 1200 block of Eastview Lane late Thursday.

The suspect then chased the victim down while riding his motorcycle, striking the bike with his vehicle. Police said McInturff then pepper-sprayed the victim before leaving the scene.
