Report: Tennessee man profited from kickback scheme involving drug test samples from opioid treatment center
A case involving kickbacks and urine samples nears a conclusion in US District Court in Abingdon.
The two suspects, John Paul Linke of Bristol, Tennessee, and, Michael Olshavsky, of Miami, have pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to pay and receive kickbacks and will be sentenced in September.
Prosecutors said the Olshavsky, 51, worked at a drug testing lab in Florida and worked out a deal where Linke, who was employed by a group helping those addicted to opioids, would send the samples down south in exchange for thousands of dollars that were earmarked as state and federal medical aid.
