Single-wide destroyed in Saturday evening blaze in Abingdon
An Abingdon resident was left homeless following an intense blaze at their home over the weekend.
A report from the town fire department says the occupant of the single-wide trailer located in the 800 block of West Main Street was able to escape the fire without injury Saturday evening.
A fire official deemed the dwelling a total loss. The American Red Cross is assisting the individual. A firefighter was transported to an area hospital for treatment of exhaustion.
