One killed, three injured in Johnson City crash

One person is dead and three were injured following a four-vehicle crash on North State Of Franklin Road in Johnson City Monday afternoon.

A preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol says Carolyn McMurray, 54, of Jonesborough, was ejected when the SUV she was riding in crashed at the end of a police pursuit that started in Unicoi County.

McMurray later died of her injuries at a local hospital.

The THP said criminal charges are pending against the SUV driver, Danny Whitson, 24, of Erwin.
