Benefit 5K to be held for Norton Police Chief James Lane

The city of Norton Virginia is holding a 5k benefit race in support of Police Chief James Lane. Chief Lane continues recovery after being shot in the line of duty last month. This benefit is called “The Norton Community Hospital Rehab 5k Heroes Run” and will raise money for Lane’s medical expenses.

All hands are on deck as the police, fire, and rescue departments participate in a Heroes Community Challenge during the 5k.

This benefit run for Chief Lane kicks off on Saturday, June 26th at the Norton Farmer’s Market.
