Scaled Back Approach Now Underway In Search For Summer Wells
Tennessee Bureau of Investigations, the FBI and local authorities are scaling back the search and rescue efforts for missing five year old Summer Wells of Hawkins County. In a press release from Tim Coup, the incident commander of rescue operations, says more than eleven hundred searchers on the ground have logged more than 13 thousand hours, but that that is now being scaled back. Coup says the rugged terrain continues to cause problems, and while a scaled back operation has been issued, utilization of local and regional resources are still be conducted. Coup says the search efforts will now take on a more specialized team basis as needed and directed from local, state and federal agencies. Coup closed the release by saying because you won’t see a large presents, as in the first week and a half, rest assured the agency has not quit,nor will it quit until Summer Wells in found.
