Man Gets Twenty Years For Rape OF Woman On ETSU Campus

A man charged with the aggravated rape, attempted aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping and assault on a woman on the campus of ETSU in 2019 has been sentenced to twenty years in prison. 43 year old David Franklin Creech entered an Alford Plea, also called a best interest plea was sentenced earlier this week according to court documents. Creech was charged by ETSU police after the woman told police she was attacked while walking on the campus early on the morning of February 24 in 2019.. Creech attacked the woman with a knife, forcing her to perform sex acts. Creech was also charged with Criminal Exposure to Hepatitis C Virus. An Alford Plea means the Defense believes the state has sufficient evidence to convict.
