Ballad Advising Residents In Region To Be Vigilant As Delta Variant Makes Itself Known

Ballad Health is advising residents in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia of the importance of using preventive measures such as masking and avoiding crowds to protect yourself from COVID-19, but go on to say, vaccines remain the most effective tool to protect yourself and those around you as the Delta Variant of COVID-19 makes itself known in the region. Ballad pointed to early data demonstrating the effectiveness of the current vaccines against the Delta variant. Some studies show the vaccines are 90 percent effective against COVID-19 related hospitalizations and death.
