Jonesborough Taking Another Step Toward New School

Jonesborough’s Board of Mayor and Alderman laid another stone to the foundation of a new 33 million dollar K-8 school. Monday night commissioners selected BurWil Construction to come up with construction plans for the school. That move follows the town’s purchase of land on North Cherokee Street for the new school and campus. Commissioners approved to pay BurWil ten thousand dollars to create plans and to consider costs of the new school.
