UPDATE: Police say one of the two gunmen in a Kingsport shootout turns himself in
One of the men involved in a shootout last week in a Kingsport apartment complex parking lot has turned himself in.
Police reported that Curtis Thompson was processed at the Kingsport Justice Center and is being held for arraignment.
A report from Chief Dale Phipps’ office said Thompson, 25, was shot in the leg during an incident on July 5 at Miller Village Apartments. One of the shots fired in the fight entered an occupied unit but no one was injured.
The other suspect, Darius Woodbury, 26, is still on the loose. He is charged with three counts of aggravated assault in connection to the shooting.
