Traffic Camera Footage Leads To Arrest Of Blountville Man After Crash In Johnson City

Traffic camera footage has placed a Blountville man in jail when he was the cause of an accident involving drag racing in the area of W State of Franklin Road and University Parkway. That’s where police arrived on the scene to a vehicle crash. Bryson Crabtree of Adams Road in Blountville was on the scene following the crash and told officers he witnessed the crash occur behind him. However, traffic footage shows Crabtree drag racing with one of the vehicles involved in the crash prior to the crash occuring. Police say Crabtree swerved in front of the other vehicle causing them to go into oncoming traffic. Three people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital for serious injuries. Crabtree was transported to the Washington County Tennessee Detention Center where awaits arraignment in General Sessions Court
