Johnson County, State Route 91 To Close Wednesday Night For Repairs. Detours In Place

A major construction project on State Route 91 in Johnson County will affect the flow of traffic in that area beginning Wednesday night at eight pm. At that time, State Route 91 will be closed near the Tennessee Virginia line to allow TDOT workers to complete the cross drain replacement. State Route 91 will be closed until six am on Thursday. Motorists in Tennessee will be detoured around via State Route 34 to Shady Valley and then take State Route 133 to Damascus, Virginia. Motorists from Virginia will take State Route 133 to Shady Valley and then Route 421 to Mountain City. Motorist in the area are being asked to use extreme caution.
