Southwest Virginia Motorcyclist Killed In Single Vehicle Crash In Scott County

A Pennington Gap Virginia man has died following a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in Scott County Virginia on Monday. Virginia State Police say 41 year old Kevin W. Yeary was thrown from the motorcycle while he was traveling north on Route 23 at mile marker eight, when the 1999 Honda Shadow ran off the left side of the road and into the median. The motorcycle then over corrected and overturned several times with the motorcycle coming to rest in the northbound travel lanes. Yeary was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Mr. Yeary succumbed to his injuries Tuesday. Yeary was wearing a helmet.
