UPDATE: $35 million settlement reached in Sullivan County ‘Baby Doe’ case
A four-year legal battle has come to an end with Endo Pharmaceuticals agreeing to a $35 million settlement with Sullivan County and neighboring jurisdictions that participated in the Baby Doe case.
Portions of that settlement will go to the care of the child represented in the case who was born addicted to opioids. Localities will decide how the funding will be spent.
Two of the other drug manufacturers named in the suit including Purdue Pharma have filed for bankruptcy protection.
