ETSU updates community on COVID-19 protocols
East Tennessee State University’s President Dr. Brian Noland sent a memo to the ETSU community this week regarding new COVID-19 updates. The memo states that the school will continue to adjust COVID-19 protocols following CDC guidelines. The most recent update by the CDC suggests that face coverings are to be worn again indoors and in public spaces; even for those vaccinated. ETSU plans to follow this update by strongly encouraging the use of masks indoors on campus and at campus events. Dr. Noland announced that ETSU will not require face coverings, but they strongly suggest it. ETSU also encourages students, faculty, and staff who have not been vaccinated to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. The school continues to hold vaccine clinics as well as free COVID-19 testing.
