Kingsport police seek person of interest following thousands in vandal damage to Greenbelt
The Kingsport Greenbelt has been the target of vandals on four separate occasions this month causing damages that will exceed $1,000 in repairs.
A report from the city police department says vulgar graffiti was painted on signs, benches, and trees as well as portions of the paved nature trail. The majority of damage sites are located between the Eastman Road and North John B. Dennis Highway crossovers.
Investigators have developed a person of interest in the case. Any information on the crimes can be submitted to Kingsport Police including anonymous tips.
