Gray, Tennessee man wanted on charges after fistfight leads to fatal injury

Police are looking for a Gray, Tennessee man who is accused of inflicting injuries during a fistfight that resulted in the victim’s death.

A report from Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal says Elijah Gates, 24, is charged with aggravated assault and reckless homicide. He was last seen traveling in a 2000 green Ford Contour with TN license plate 5Y9-6T9.

Preliminary details say the victim and Gates were involved in a domestic situation at a home in the 100 block of Dean Street early Monday. The victim later died at an area hospital where investigators said the injury was first reported as a head injury from a fall.
