Johnson City Police Nab Two Alleged Car Thieves, One On Additional Drug Charges

Johnson City Police were kept busy over the weekend rounding up a couple of car thieves, one a convicted felon, who was found to be in possession of a handgun, a controlled substance for resale, as well as other charges. JCPD arrested Candise M. Stout of Forrest Rd, Fall Branch after she was found inside an idling vehicle on South Roan Street, which she allegedly stole out of Johnson City. While police were arresting Stout, officers discovered a firearm along with numerous narcotics. Stout is scheduled for an arraignment Monday in Washington County General Sessions Court. Meanwhile, authorities in Johnson City also nabbed another alleged car thief when they apprehended Denise S. McKinney of Siam Road in Elizabethton after she was spotted in a vehicle stolen out of Johnson City as well. McKinney is also scheduled for a court hearing in Washington County
