Additional dollars to be issued Aug. 25 to Virginia’s P-EBT families for summer nutrition
The Virginia Department of Social Services has announced additional family funding on EBT cards issued this month backed by federal emergency pandemic dollars.
The one-time lump sum of $375 is assigned to eligible children who qualify for reduced or free lunch to help with gaps in nutrition during the summer months.
The agency says $295 million in food assistance is being issued to more than 790,000 students beginning Aug. 25.
