Washington County, TN Animal Shelter in urgent need of canned cat food donations
The Washington County, Tennessee Animal Shelter is in urgent need of canned cat food. The shelter announced on their Facebook page that they continue to receive mass influxes of newborn kittens and will run out of canned food within days. Newborn kittens currently at the shelter are still too young to adopt, so the facility is in very high demand for wet cat food. The weeks around late-July and early August are what’s known as “kitten season”, as many stray cats deliver babies around this time. The shelter urgently requests any and all donations of canned cat food. Donations can be brought directly to the Johnson City Animal Shelter.
