Wise Moves To Begin School Year Monday With Masks

Monday, marks the start of a new school year for Wise County Virginia students. And with that new beginning will be requirement for to students to wear a mask while indoor at school due to continued rising number of cases of COVID-19, associated with the Delta Variant strain. School officials decided on the mask mandate after consultations with the LENOWISCO Health District and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control. The school systems says it will continue to monitor COVID conditions and a move back to less restrictive measures if conditions improve.
