BVPS To Return To Classroom Next Week Under Mask Mandate

We should know more today about Bristol Virginia Public School’s decision to return to classrooms next week with universal indoor masking. Monday night, the board voted to return to school August 19 with the mask mandate in place. Superintendent Dr. Keith Perrigan will have authority to increase or decrease mitigation efforts based on school and community metrics and with consultation with the school board. The plan also calls for incentives for vaccinations. A one time bonus for vaccinated staff members and student incentives as well.
