Two arrested following attacks by masked suspects at Warriors Path campsite

Two suspects are in jail and investigators are looking for two more following an assault near Warriors Path State Park in Kingsport.

Five victims told Sullivan County deputies that they were attacked while camping at a spot off Childress Ferry Road by four people wearing masks early Tuesday.

One victim suffered injuries after being hit with a baseball bat and the flat side of a machete.

Adarious W. Gadson, 18, and Vincent Van Huet, 21, both of Kingsport were found walking near the area along with weapons used in the attack.

They are charged with five counts of aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, and vandalism.

Police stressed this was an isolated incident where the suspects knew the victim and there is no safety threat at Warriors Path or its trails.
