ETSU announces $7.9 million HEERF relief fund for students
East Tennessee State University announced relief funding for students this upcoming semester through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). This emergency fund supplies colleges with an amount of money to be distributed to enrolled college students. ETSU Vice President for Student Life and Enrollment, Joe Sherlin, says 7.9 million dollars will be distributed among eligible students this fall semester. The school anticipates funds to be awarded after September 21st. ETSU first distributed these funds in March, where qualifying students received a minimum of 337 dollars per award. Sherlin urges students to enroll in the school’s direct deposit program in order to expedite the receiving of these funds. Students can find out more information on eligibility by contacting ETSU’s Office of Financial Aid.
